The Stand is a piece of walnut with two curved cut-outs and a flat rest, oiled by hand. It holds Aurelia, Quiet and Lumen upright on a shelf, which is a small thing that changes how a nightstand reads: three objects standing in a cradle look like a collection; the same three lying down look like a tidy-up waiting to happen.
The walnut is from a joinery two towns over from our packing room, offcuts from their cutting-board line — which is why the grain on every stand is different and why the price is what it is for solid hardwood. It ships with a card telling you which oil to refresh it with, and the answer is the same one that finishes Recover Balm's tin.
Why this piece exists
The Stand is an offcut product in the best sense: our joinery neighbour cuts boards all day and the curved offcuts were kindling. We took a delivery of them, cut cradles, and the first fifty sold in a week at a price that reflects offcuts plus hand-oiling rather than hardwood-plus-margin. Every stand's grain is different, which means the product page cannot show you the one you will get, and we say so.
The cradle widths are cut to the three slimmest pieces — Aurelia, Quiet, Lumen — because those are the ones that roll. A stand for Velvet Hour would need a wider base and a different centre of gravity, and the honest answer is that the broad pieces stand on their own bases. The Stand is not for everything; it is for the three things that needed it.

Use
Seat the piece base-down; the cradle's curve is cut to the slimmest profiles and will not grip wider pieces — do not force Velvet Hour in.
Cleaning
Dry cloth only. Water and walnut argue, and the argument stains.
Storage
It is the storage. Keep it out of direct sun if your shelf is a sunny one — walnut darkens, which some people pay extra for and others did not ask for.
Long-term
Walnut ages in light: a sunny shelf darkens it over a year, and the darkening is even and handsome — but if you want the colour you bought, rotate the stand or move the shelf. Re-oil yearly: a drop of mineral oil, rubbed in, wiped off, and the grain wakes up. Water is the enemy — a wet silicone piece seated into the cradle dries leaving a tide line that only sanding removes.
Material safety. Platinum-cured silicone, phthalate-free, non-porous. Clean with warm water and mild unscented soap or a silicone-safe cleanser; avoid alcohol and silicone-based lubricants, which dull a matte finish and can leave a film. Full detail in the materials guide.
