Materials
What is on the label,
and what is not.
“Body-safe” has no legal definition in the United States. A material name does. We publish the material, the additive, and the absence claim separately, so each can be checked.
Platinum-cured silicone
Non-porous, odourless, stable. Used for every device body. It attracts dust and should not be stored against other silicone.
Glazed ceramic
Non-porous while the glaze is intact, heavier, warmer. A chip retires the piece — the clay underneath cannot be cleaned.
No TPE, no jelly, no PVC
Those materials are porous and degrade within months. We do not carry them at any price.
