First Light is the set we recommend when the answer to 'which one?' is genuinely 'we don't know yet'. It pairs Nocturne's palm pebble with a slim, broad-tipped device, so the two of you can try opposite ends of the range without committing to either.
The box is part of the product: felt-lined recesses, a lid that opens flat, and room to add a third piece later. It is the version of a starter kit that assumes you will keep the box on a shelf rather than in a cupboard.
Why this piece exists
First Light answers the question our guides generated: 'you told me to start broad, but my partner wants something smaller — do I buy two?' Yes, but as one decision. The set pairs Nocturne's palm pebble with a slim broad-tipped device, deliberately at opposite ends of our range, so a couple can find out what each of them likes before anyone commits to a bigger spend.
The box is the argument for buying the set instead of two singles. Felt-lined recesses cut to each piece, a channel under the lid for both cables, a lid that opens flat so it works as a valet on a nightstand. It is the anti-foam: nothing here is meant to be thrown away on day one, which is why the set costs less than the two pieces separately.

Use and care

Before the first use
Charge both pieces, wash each with mild soap, and try them separately before together — that ordering matters more than it sounds.
Cleaning
Both are IPX7 and rinse clean. Dry the contacts before charging. Spot-clean the felt with a barely damp cloth; it is not removable.
Storage
Store in the box, open to dry after cleaning. Keep the box out of direct sun to protect the felt.
Long-term
The felt is the part that ages first: it pills where the pieces sit, which is wear rather than damage, and a clothes shaver on the lowest setting tidies it in a minute. Keep the box closed in sunlight — the felt is colourfast but the board veneer is not. The open third bay is not an accident; when you eventually add a third piece from the range, it will probably fit, and if it does not, the bay holds cables and the sample cleanser without rattling.
Material safety. Platinum-cured silicone, phthalate-free, non-porous. Clean with warm water and mild unscented soap or a silicone-safe cleanser; avoid alcohol and silicone-based lubricants, which dull a matte finish and can leave a film. Full detail in the materials guide.
