Jasmine Salts is Bath House's sister jar, tuned for the hour before sleep. Same magnesium and Dead Sea base at 80 g, with whole dried jasmine buds in place of nothing at all — the scent sits at the surface of the water and fades inside ten minutes, which is the point: a bath scent that does not follow you to bed on your skin.
The jar is the same cast stone as its sibling, and the two sit well together on a shelf if your bathroom is the kind that has a shelf. Where Petal Salts is the romantic, this is the insomniac's version: the buds are chosen for a compound that fades in hot water rather than one that lingers.
Why this piece exists
Jasmine was chosen by elimination. We tested six evening botanicals against the brief — scent that fades in hot water rather than following you to bed — and five of them lingered on skin for hours. Jasmine's aromatic compounds are the ones that evaporate first, which is botany doing the work that 'light fragrance' marketing always promises and never delivers.
The buds are whole, not crushed, for the same reason: crushed jasmine releases everything at once and the bath gets twenty loud minutes. Whole buds steep slowly, give the water ten quiet minutes at the surface, and then are done — a scent with an exit strategy, which is the most considerate thing a bath product can have.
Who it suits
- Evening bathers who want the bath to end the day, not perfume it
- Bath House households wanting the softer sibling jar
- People whose bedrooms and bathrooms share an air supply
Who it does not suit
- Morning showers — the buds want a bath and the scent wants to fade
- Anyone who wants a perfumed bathroom; this one leaves

Use and care
Everything we know about keeping it.
Use
80 g to a full bath at body temperature; the buds float and steep. Skim them before draining or let the trap do it.
Not for
Broken skin, or anyone advised to limit magnesium. The buds are plant material — patch test if you are the sort who reacts to petals.
Storage
Same rules as its sibling: lid on, out of the shower spray, shake before dosing if it has sat for months.
Long-term
The buds are the ageing clock: they fade from green-cream to straw over a year, and the fade is oxidative rather than spoilage — the minerals never go off. If a bath loses its ten quiet minutes, the buds have finished; use the jar up as plain Bath House and refill. The jar itself is the keeper, same as its sibling, and refills are the cheaper habit.
Material safety. Platinum-cured silicone, phthalate-free, non-porous. Clean with warm water and mild unscented soap or a silicone-safe cleanser; avoid alcohol and silicone-based lubricants, which dull a matte finish and can leave a film. Full detail in the materials guide.
