Sable is the honest one in the range: a broad head, a gentle forward curve, and no features that need explaining. It is the piece we hand people when they say 'just a normal one, but good', and it is the one that sells out first whenever we forget to predict demand.
The curve is nine degrees off the shaft, which is enough to matter and not enough to complicate. The brushed steel collar marks where the grip ends, and the broad head distributes vibration across its full width — broad contact, low intensity, the combination our guide recommends to nearly every first-time buyer who asks.
Why this piece exists
Sable's shape was decided in one afternoon and refined for eight months. The head is the width it is because three focus groups drew the same silhouette when asked for 'a normal one': broad at the top, narrowing to the grip. We measured the drawings. The average of thirty-one sketches is 38 millimetres, and that is the number we tooled.
The steel collar replaced a printed logo. Early versions carried our name on the shaft, and the first reviewer who saw one said 'why is your name on the part that gets held', and they were right, so the name moved to the base and the collar took the visual weight instead. It is the only piece in the range with exposed metal above the base, and it earned it.

Use and care
Everything we know about keeping it.
Before the first use
Charge fully and wash with warm water and mild unscented soap. The broad head holds water in its curve after rinsing — shake it out and dry it upright rather than leaving it on a towel.
Cleaning
Silicone-safe cleanser or mild soap, then a lint-free cloth. The collar seam is sealed; dry it before charging.
Storage
It stands on its flat base. Keep it out of contact with other silicone for long stretches, and check the head by eye after travel — broad heads are the first to scuff.
Long-term
The broad head is the surface that takes the wear: check it yearly under a raking light for scuffs that have gone glossy — a glossy patch on matte silicone is a micro-abrasion, not damage, but it will hold dust differently. The collar takes no wear at all. Expect the battery to be the first thing to retire, around cycle five hundred, and the body to outlive two batteries if the sleeve stays between it and the drawer.
Material safety. Platinum-cured silicone, phthalate-free, non-porous. Clean with warm water and mild unscented soap or a silicone-safe cleanser; avoid alcohol and silicone-based lubricants, which dull a matte finish and can leave a film. Full detail in the materials guide.
